Latest News:
4-26-2012: Cinders schedule updated because we have added Trophy Karts.  We are also using the Sunset Crater entrance like we have for the past 2 years.  It is paved all the way to the camping area.

4-13-2012: Our entry fees have gone down an average of $5-20 per class.  Also the non beginner 80cc ATV's kids will be racing with the Mini's now, that means more seat time!

3-27-2012: Boulders Results and points have been posted.  Cinders Registration is online.

3-16-2012: We are having a mud bog event April 14th and 15th in Holbrook!  Check out the flyer here.

3-15-2011:  WHIPLASH will have A full year of REAL DESERT RACING. Our schedule will include races at "THE BOULDERS" and "VULTURE MINE" BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP It is not unusual for the BLM to move personnel around from district to district and State to State. As a result we have NEW Managers in the Phoenix District Offices. The New Managers can't decide whether they should allow COMPETITIVE EVENTS on THEIR LANDS, even though COMPETITIVE EVENTS have been part of PUBLIC LAND USE for DECADES.

THEY NEED TO HEAR YOUR OPINION Please e mail a few lines with your opinion to emasters@blm.gov  Please be polite and please tell a friend to join with you and, do it NOW !! Please do not put this off. If you don't have time we will still have a series, it just won't include those courses!!Snooze and we all LOSE.

Last year was a disaster for us desert racers! When the Forest Service dumped the two Snowflake Races at the last moment, it sent Whiplash's schedule into a tail spin. To be honest, I was pretty disgusted with the public lands administrators. Whiplash had enjoyed a stellar working relationship with the local BLM and Forest Service offices until the California accident sent some of them into a bureaucratic convulsion. Finding New Courses is not easy, Canyon, Speed World and ACP made us welcome, but you just can't have a DESERT RACE on a Moto-Cross Track.

BUT THE BIG NEWS is SNOWFLAKE, we are back to the negotiating table, both sides have shown patience and restraint and as a result a deal seems LIKELY, keep your fingers crossed, IT COULD HAPPEN. We will be posting our schedule as soon as we are able to confirm a couple of dates LAST but not LEAST, we would like to sincerely thank all of you who have raced with us over the past two and a half decades, and last year in particular. Almost any business that has been around as long as we have, has made mistakes, we are no different. You will see detractors on the net dishing us for things that may of happened 20 years ago or even last year. PLEASE REMEMBER; Even a Pancake Has Two Sides! If you are upset with us, talk to me, perhaps I can fix the problem, or at least apologize, personally. Hope to see you next year, Thanks Jay 602 758 5050

WHEN YOU COME TO REGISTRATION, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT BEFORE YOU GET INTO LINE THAT YOU HAVE ALL YOUR PAPERWORK IN ORDER AND COMPLETE. IF YOUR PAPERWORK IS NOT FILLED OUT OR YOU ARE IN THE WRONG LINE, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO GET OUT OF LINE FINISH FILLING IT OUT AND GET IN THE PROPER LINE TO COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION. THIS IS ONLY TO HELP THINGS RUN SMOOTHLY.

PAID IN FULL LINES: YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY FOR ANYTHING (TRANSPONDER RENTAL, PRE-RUN, ECT)
BALANCE DUE LINES: YOU HAVE SOME SORT OF BALANCE(MAYBE YOU NEED TO RENT A TRANSPONDER, BALANCE ON ENTRY FEE)
LATE REGISTRATION LINES: YOU HAVE NOT MAILED IN OR PAID ON-LINE FOR REGISTRATION FEE'S.

ALL Check In Times are MANDATORY. You may be penalized by position and or points if you do not check in on time. Times are posted on the Internet and the specific event flyer. This is your responsibility. Late registration costs everyone time and delay's the race. Please make an effort to be on time. PRE-REGISTERING 2011: You will receive a $10.00 discount from our regular race fee's. If you register at the event you will pay the FULL event fee.
