Good luck getting any kind of answer. I see you asked the same question over 2 weeks ago and no one ever responded, except Trent, who wanted the same information. I guess it is too much to ask for to try and find out what you are pre-registering for! Surely someone from the organization knows something.

yeah I would definitely agree, its kinda frustrating... My dad sent me some pics of the track the other day tho. It was far from finished, but it is all going to be inside the horse track. So i cant imagine it could possibly be any longer than 2 miles or so. I think it will be a lot like the speedworld lucas oil track, but a little longer and rougher.

Steven

i saw Jay at the track today and they were about to start working on it, the rain and snow has had it to wet to do anything with until now. theres alot of room for a good size track if they use it all. I asked if the desert section will go outside the track and Jay thought that was the plan. So i dont think even Jay could tell you how long the tracks will turn out.

yeah that would be awesome if the desert section went outside the horse track! There's nothinig within in miles of that place on that side of the highway, which would make it perfect.

Well the good news is, it's clear as can be today and looks to be throughout the weekend according to the weather reports.

Bad news is there is at least 2" of snow covering the track, we got hit hard last night. Hopefully things melt off quick and they can get a track cut in.

I think mud and rocks are a sure thing out there from what I have seen. Brian is right, there is lots of room in the infield of the horse track depending on how they lay it out. 1 -2 miles might be possible without going outside the track but it would be better if they can do that to lengthen it even more.

Let's hope for the best, see ya there!

I agree 100%, i am extremely bummed about wickenburg. I asked what we could do to appease the BLM and get wickenburg back but I didn't get an answer. IMHO anything under 4 miles shouldn't be a "desert" race.
Oh well, a weekend of racing beats just about anything else. :)

With respect to dealing with BLM-Phoenix, you might as well be dealing with Washington.

The Phoenix office has, over the last few years, been focusing their efforts on their projects while letting outsider's issues pile up. I had a construction project in front of them for 1 1/2 years before they finally decided that they did not need to be involved.
