Do you EVER WANT to do Long Course Desert Racing Again???
IF YOU DO………… READ AND BELIEVE
65 years of dealing with HUMAN NATURE and 25 years of promoting OFF ROAD races TELLS ME THIS ;
A) There recently was a horrible accident at an off road race .Several people died and many more were injured. (mostly because reasonable people let unreasonable things happen).
B) There will be a KNEE JERK REACTION from Land Managers and Insurance Companies.(reasonable people trying to save their asses).
C) That Knee will be aimed squarely at OFF ROAD racing’s CROTCH (YOU).
For obvious reasons, PLEASE DON’T DO ANY THING STUPID, no matter how much you want to drink, have fun and do DUMB THINGS ,YOU just CAN’T this WEEKEND.
Most of you are VETERANS of this race. You know what kind of behavior is ALL RIGHT and when someone is being STUPID or something is WRONG or UNSAFE.
I’m not asking you to be Sheriff “Joe” or John Wayne, just do what you can to fix it NICELY FIRST , but we must work together to prevent STUPID THINGS FROM KILLING EACH OTHER and OUR SPORT. If that doesn’t work contact a Whiplash person and make them aware of the situation immediately. It is YOUR responsibility and duty to the continued success of “THE RACE”.
****Note as always you will have to register your pit vehicle for this race. For your convenience we have provided a printable form on our website. Print it and fill it out completely and give it to the gate people when you arrive. You will be given a sticker at that time.
